Default Hello everyone!

Hey everyone I am 21 years old and currently a graduate Physical Therapy student at Utica college, Lifting is a very big part of my life and I try my best to do my research into physiology, nutrition etc. I came here because it seems like a place where people educate themselves about lifting, nutrition and supplementation and take a more scientific approach. Currently I am doing Layne Nortons PHAT with some adjustments here and there. Main goals being hypertrophy and strength

one of my main questions is about HIIT, I love doing HIIT and have read the solid research behind it and practice it based on protocols outlined by Dr.Wilson and Dr.Norton, my main qestion is if I had a split like
Heavy squats + legs
Heavy Bench OHP chest Shoulders and triceps
Heavy Deadlift (5 sets) Rows and Back
Heavy abs and HIIT
Speed Squats + hypertrophy legs
Speed Bench + hypertrophy chest shoulders and triceps
Speed Deadlift + rows and hypertrophy back
Lighter abs and HIIT

Would having HIIT that close to important leg movements affect my muscle gains and strength?

Welcome to ABC

My initial thoughts are try it and see. You will know if your strength or stamina are taking a hit based on how hard the leg workout feels the day following HIIT.

If it seems to be taking a toll, I would consider throwing in 1 rest day after the Heavy Abs/HIIT and then maybe doing the HIIT on the second deadlift day instead of a day later.
