Default Getting back

Hello! I am 43 years old and new to this site and so far I have found it to be really great. I have not trained in about 5 yrs, due to lifestyle changes and injuries. I have severe arthritis in my left hip, some tendonitis and arthritis in both shoulders due to arthroscopic surgical procedures (bi-lateral slap tear)

As of late I find myself extremely tired and I know this is due to poor nutrition and lack of training. I think its time for a change and to get back into what made me feel great a long time ago... Any ideas on how to get back without causing another injury or having flare ups? Im thinking bodyweight excersises for about two weeks, eating very light and clean. What is recommended for arthritis pain?

Welcome to ABC!
Definitely starting light and easing into it is best. Not sure about specific recommendations for arthritis pain, but eating clean and exercises I would think would be beneficial.

Hi Ejod,

I'm newly back also.........Just set myself up a 3 day split. 123...123...and Sunday's off. I also take a one mile walk at least 3 days a week if possible. I limit myself to somewhere around 30 to 40 minutes in my workouts and really love it. All the best to you, starting light sounds great to me also.
