Does anyone around here listen to Christian music songs while working out?? Most of the songs played in the gym has inappropriate lyrics, and we should avoid them, if possible. Can anyone suggest nice, strong christian songs to listen in the gym??

Sorry, can't help you out. I workout alone in my basement and it's just me and the iron. I used to listen to music, but now I much prefer the silence.

However, I can understand your situation. If I were in a commercial gym, I would likely have an ipod to drown out the music because 1) as you stated, it is profane, but 2) a lot of it just isn't good for motivating hardcore lifting.

I listen to Dr. J. Vernon McGee's Thru the Bible as a podcast. I've always preferred talk over music during my work outs. But, I'm an old fart.

Take a look online for music by the 80's Christian metal band "The Brave." The lasting legacy of my friend Randy Roberts, who has unfortunately passed. We all miss him greatly, and I'm proud to share his work.
