Default HardCory's Picture Log

Time to throw some up here, show where I've been, and where I am now. A lot of work to be done, but I figure having the pics up here where people can see will give me that extra drive to better myself. I've put on some size in the last year, but I'll always be my biggest critic, my back needs to be signifcantly wider, I need a bigger chest. I'm open to all suggestions, I want to be the best. Thanks guys.

Picture taken in 2005 right before my tryout w/ WWE I was between 205-210, not very lean.

This one is from April of '08, I'm 168 lbs in this pic

The next two are from today, last weigh in I was at 192lbs

A lot of work to be done, but I'm ready for the challenge.

Great way to show your journey. Can you tell us what you did on your way from 205-210 to 168?

You can tell you have been careful to add the mass back slowly as you have went from 168 to 192. You have stayed lean.

I saw the calves in your journal, but any pictures of the wheels?

Your arms are looking good, your biceps are quite full. I would definitely prioritize the back width and thickness.

Yea my thoughts exactly, get on those deadlifts and rack chins!

How'd the tryout for WWE go? I always wondered how people got into that

Basically these two questions can be answered together. In 2004 I dislocated my should twice while wrestling, I made the hard decision to take some time off and rehabilitate. When to physical therapy for two months, shoulder felt like new. Got myself up to 205-210, went to Louisville, KY to tryout and on the third and final day during the last drill I dislocated it again, the only difference was this time it wouldn't go back in, because I had strengthened the muscle so much during PT. Long story short I ended up tearning my labrum completely, had a surgery, didn't get better, got into a car accident messed up my hip and lower back, got a second surgery on my shoulder. I was really depressed in chronic pain, starting living really unhealthy, turned to alcohol, got up to 211 unhealthy pounds. Then one day I drank to the point that I was blacked out for 8 straight hours, woke up vomiting blood, my wife saved my life that night, the next day I dedicated my life to Christ. Started living healthy, lost the majority of the bad weight, couldn't lift heavy yet because the shoulder, so that explains how I went from 200's to the 160's.

Default Wheels

These are my legs from April of 2008, I had to use this pic for motivation on leg days, when I heard my step sister call them chicken legs I started doing hip squats on spot.

The lighting sucks in the next two, but here am I as of today, still a lot of work to be done, I don't think I'll ever be satisfied, but that's a good thing.

Dude get some back thickness and width going on and you'll be on your way to swoll! Pull ups from all angles and deadlifts should become your best friends. Can't wait to see you in the ring bro

Agree with what everyone has said as well, If you get the back thickness up you will be looking huge!

Thanks for the comments guys, seeing the picture of my back was a humbling experience, but I know its something that I'm capable of accomplishing. Wide and thick or die trying is my mentality right now.
