I'm starting to read some good things about the oral ingestion of citrulline. I'm convinced about its beneficial effects. The recommended/optimal dosage remains a little unclear though. Scientific studies mostly use a 6 gram dose prior to excercise. But I'm also hearing people starting to note an effect with doses up to 18 grams of citrulline. Now I like to take things slow and will probably start with 6 or 8 grams of citrulline. Question is, would it be required to take citrulline daily? Seems unlikely since citrulline is a pre-workout substrate but daily ingestion may also be needed in order to achieve a sufficient plasma level.
Anyone that can shed some more light on the dosage regimen of citrulline malate?

Okay, did some extensive reading on the matter last night and found the answer: 6 to 8 grams of Citrulline Malate 1 hour pre-workout is advised to reach the desired effects. As I suspected, no significant benefit of taking CM on rest days.
