Default Sweating whilst sleeping

HI all - a question for my wife: recently she has been sweating an enormous amount in bed. Sometimes the sheets are soaked through - but we dont know what/why this is?. ANY IDEAS?

A bit of context:
* She works out most mornings - more cardio than lifting tho (She's always sweated more than me when working out - but this amount is unusual)
* At first she thought it was related to vitamins and/or a Fat Burner she was taking (but it's continued weeks after stopping)
* 31yo, ~10% BF and very healthy diet.
* Occasionally gets foot/leg cramps
* Room temprature is warm-ish and ventilated, but normal for any home IMO
* Has a fairly stressful job but she's not sweating due to nightmares about it!

Thank you all in advance.

I have the same problem and from my experience it comes on when the stress in my life is extremely high.

How's her blood pressure? If that's fine, which I'm sure it is...maybe it IS due to extra stress. Even if she doesn't have dreams about work (which everybody HAS dreams..most just don't recall them...) her body could be trying to relieve her of the stress by sweating. I'd call her Dr. just to be safe!

It could be any number of things and yes just to be sure I agree with Angie. Get some blood work done, make sure everything is in order. Last thing you need is her going into a diabetic coma or something worse from an undiagnosed problem. Sorry to be so non definitive but without the lab work its impossible to tell where its coming from.

Is she having any slow release proteins like casein or cottage cheese just before bed? Casein is the most thermogenic protein fraction, and since body temp needs to drop for sleep it can sometimes mess with that and get people pretty sweaty at night.

I can't take anything with a significant amount of casein before bed at all... will literally sweat the sheets up. At other times am fine with it.

Sleep Hyperhidrosis, yeah this is a doctors job as it can signal anything from internal thermo being out, thyroid over active to damage to the cns or brain.... i had this last year it turned out a mix of supplements and large amount of food had caused my thyroid to go into overdrive to similar levels as taking clen :/
