Default Your best workout advice...

Everyone needs advice once in a while, as some advice is worth remembering. If you were to give one piece of workout advice, what would it be?

Keep your squats out of my curl rack. Lol, Gregsimo already stole my advice.

Listen to your body

- if you don't feel like you wanna be at the gym and you wont have a good workout... you might do better taking a day off

- if something hurts... stop!

- if you're hungry... eat!

- if you're tired... sleep!

- and finally, take any advice given to you at the gym with a grain of salt... or an entire tub of salt. Many people have good intentions, but have no idea what they are talking about; unless u workout with HardCorey, Link, Venom, or the Prez

Don't try to compete with the other guys at the gym, just compete with yourself.

Check your ego at the door, lift weight that you can do actual reps with.

As Arian recently mentioned, consistency with a crappy program will trump half-butt effort on a kick-butt program any day. (I am paraphrasing )

One piece of advice i have actually given out is that the Squat rack is for SQUATS. Who does curls in a squat rack?
Wouldnt mind if it was someone with good form or the ability to do the core exercises right but it was 'sunglasses and 2 sizes too small T-shirt guy' who only appears between the months of april to sept

My advice would by keeping good form, all too often I see people committing crimes against good form, e.g. the gym i used to go to had a barbell with two tyres on either end, i tried to lift it but i was too weak, so along came another guy, who did manage to pick it up, i thought fair dews old boy but then he started swinging it back and forth so he could do a few curls, I was dying of laughter inside, you had to just see what he was doing...........
