Monday
Squat 4x5@285 Deadlift 2x3@295 Bent Over Rows 2x8@135 Squats were heavy. Really wish I was in a rack with safety bars or something. Doing these free with no spot and in a place where bailing isn't an option makes these a bit harder for me. Really having to force the depth. Knees and back feeling the squats and deadlifts. Hoping to meet up with Mike and work on form again within the next few weeks. |

Life without a computer consisted of a lot of lifting, a bit of firearm training, and a lot of time riding along in my brother's police cruiser.

Tuesday
Bench- Supposed to be 4x5@210 but we didn't have 2.5s so I had to do it at 215. Still no problem though. Push Press- 3x5@135 Good lifting. Bench days really have become my easy days. Almost recovering for my next lower body workout. |

Wednesday
Squat- 3x1@275. Easy. Forced the depth to be beyond deep. But my body is still feeling pretty worn down. 275 felt far heavier than it should have. Deadlift- Singled at 315. Without taking more days between lower body days and my heavy deadlift day this is about the best I can pull without risking serious injury. Then hit 3x3@295 |

Friday
Squat 5x3@300 Finally had a spot, didn't need them but it still makes me feel more comfortable. Easiest squat day in a while. Knees and back are still taking a beating but the weight moved. |

Whole week wort of lifting to document so here it comes.
Monday Squat 3x5@290 Deadlift 2x1x310 Bent Over Rows 2x8@135 Tuesday Bench 5x5@215 Push Press 3x5@135 Wednesday Squat 3x1@295 Deadlift single at 335, 3x3@310 Thursday Bench 3x1@230 Friday Squat 4x3@310 Saturday Bench 4x3@230 Push Press 3x3@155 Chins 3x5 Overall it felt pretty consistent with the weeks before. Squats need a little tweaking but in all honesty the last set of the Friday workout I went balls to the wall and buried them in a way that was really tough but made me feel more comfortable with the weight. I think with more practice that will become more comfortable at the high weights. The bench has been ridiculously easy, some days not even using a lift off. Deadlift form and weights just feel ugly and heavy. Currently I am still using the setup Mike taught me but my leverages and strengths are working against what I know to be the right form. I am going to have to get more knee bend to keep a neutral back arch/round at this point and that isn't ideal for deadlift form of my strength in general. Other option is incorporating a lower back exercise on a few days in order to just force my lower back to become denser, stronger, and have more stability. Calling Mike tomorrow to get another workout for 3 weeks, then hopefully starting the study on the 15th of August. Can't wait to be back with the training partners and getting stronger. Sorry if I mistyped or said something stupid or that doesn't make sense, tired and distracted right now but pumped due to the overwhelming positive feelings I have had after the Friday and Saturday sessions. |

Nice. I forgot ask you, did you ever start using your squat shoes? You bought VS Athletics, right? Just wondering how they've been holding up since you got them about the same time as me.

Yeah I have been using them for this entire block. They are holding up great considering I don't treat them very nicely. Lol. Walk around on concrete between sets. No regrets given the product and the price so far. And yes they are the entry level VS Athletics.
