Workout 10 - 4/23/11 - Bench

Bench (WtxSetsxReps)
195x6x3

Military Press
125x4x3

First time benching with the new shoes and I was amazed. First time I've ever had a good grip to the floor at the gym. Maybe now I can learn how to get a leg drive in my bench. Got a lift off on the last set and man what a difference it makes. The last set felt easier than the previous two.

Also, I weighed 194 lbs on the gym scale. Most I've ever made and usually I weigh myself there at night.

I was suprised how much a lift off helps too! I started wearing running shoes on my benching day and got a really good floor grip, I guess the bigger sole helped a bit. Looking strong man...you are also gonna outweigh me at some point too. I was 198 at my last comp! Haha...keep it up!

Workout 11 - 4/25/11 - Squat & Deadlift

Squat (WtxSetsxReps)
220x5x5

Deadlift
355x3x1

Very pissed right now because somehow the metal loop on my right shoe which the metatarsal strap goes through broke. The stitching that holds the velcro was already coming off but I was going to have someone just re-sew it. But without the loop I can't strap my shoes. It's only the right one so I'm sure its a defect and not my fault. Now I have to try and call them and get then switched or something. Hopefully they don't try to screw me over. Benching tomorrow then have to drive down to Miami.

Workout 13 - 4/27/11 - Deadlift & Squat

Deadlift (WtxSetsxReps)
385x4x1

Squat
240x3x1

Went to some gym I've never been to before because my mom had a free 1 week pass. Picked the bar with the best knurling for deadlift but didn't notice till half way through that the bar was bent. Definitely made the sets harder, no chalk didn't help either, but I got the sets done. Used a better bar for squats and they felt good. Friday's squat workout looks hard, can't wait.

Workout 15 - 5/1/11 - Bench

Bench (WtxSetsxReps)
200x2x3

Military Press
135x2x3

Was working with my dad all day yesterday so I couldn't do my workout till today. And it definitely suffered. Don't know if it was all the heavy work I did yesterday or the ****ty bench or the weight was too heavy but the weight just felt very heavy. Didn't have a spotter or any safety measures for the bench other than just letting it get stuck on my chest so I didn't even want to risk continuing. It's only bench and the last workout of this block. Just going to rest up my body so I can head back up to Tallahassee in a couple days and hit some new PRs in Mike's garage.

My weekend workout are historically bad man...I'd rather skip the day completely than go in on a sunday!
