Is the controlled labs "Blue up" a bad product? |

No I havent hit a plateu, I was just looking for a little extra boost.
I am 44 and have just started back working out. I work out 3 to 4 days a week (right now just back and bi one day then chest and tri one day) and do a 45 min spin class once a week. I am 5'10 176 with a 34 inch wasit. I would like to drop the waidt to a 32 or a 30 and finally get some abs again. Accrding to the gym I go to I am at 19% body fat. ( I know the hand held machines arent very accurate) I am trying to eat healthy. Is there anything else I should do? |

work your legs out..and spin class dont count! working your legs, essentially half your body will release a lot of "T" as it is..you will make some good gains initially just by doing that! and it saves you money and makes your body look balanced

You might want to check out a book by Rob Faigin titled Natural Hormonal Enhancement. I purchased it from Dave Draper's IronOnline site, but you may also be able to find it at Amazon. Faigin is a trainer and has written a great book that is supported by tons of scientific research references. The first half of the book provides an excellent understanding of the body's hormonal system and how exercise and food affect various hormone levels. The second half of the book covers his prescription for diet and exercise to maximize muscle growth through hormonal enhancement. Rob is a big advocate of drop sets to maximize training impact and advocates a carb cycling diet. Even if you don't follow all of his advice and programs, there are several insights in the book that can be followed to enhance T levels. It's a good read and worth the investment. On a personal level, I have followed his carb cycling diet but did not find it effective for me. I followed his exercise program for several weeks but did not like it at the time, thinking it was not enough volume for what I could do. I have learned a lot more since I tried it, however, and realize now that I probably did not give it the level of intensity needed to maximize benefit.

Blue Up has some favorable reviews but I wouldnt expect dramatic effects from it. Phyto-Test and TestoPro have also gotten good feedback. I've never bothered with any of these products because I don't need them at my age, but you might notice more pronounced effects at 44. If you do decide to try one of these products, I would be interested to see how you respond

I wouldn't go down the road of test products unless you were bulking or a serious strength athlete. Keep the cardio up and you will lose fat and post your diet so we can see what you're eating. that is 80% of your results when cutting. FWIW, I used a estrogen blocker a couple of years ago and saw good gains, while bulking. HOWEVER, when I got off of it I had some serious side effects. Just don't go down that road.
Don't bother with the tribulus testerris it doesn't work at all. |

as mentioned by bigbear, squat and deadlift if you are not doing those already, they are great for T levels.

Commander, I have seen this stated before, as well as posts that claim the increase in T due to squats and deads is minimal. Are there any specific studies you could steer me toward to get a definitive answer? How much of an increase in T can one expect by doing these exercises and, just as important, if you are doing them now and you stop, will your T levels drop? Also, is it age dependent? Thanks.
