Yes sir.

Smolov Base Mesocycle, Week 1, Day 1, July 19th, 2010.
Squat: (WtXRepsXSets)
300X9X4
Bench:
215X9X4

Two observations from the first day.
1. My plan to deadlift once a week is already proving to be hilariously stupid.
2. This is going to be awesome.

Next Day: Wednesday

Actually, that gives me some hope for the future of education. Now, if we only had a few more people like you reviewing textbooks, maybe they wouldn't be full of liberal indoctrination.

Dude, you are way stronger than me and have more endurance, but still, I seriously recommend you don't deadlift. Don't do anything to compromise the squat, your lower back is going to be slammed from all the squatting, not to mention the rest of your leg muscles, you really don't need to add more fatigue by deadlifting.

Now, I am similar to you in that I love deadlifting, it is simply awesome, so what I did was let myself deadlift during the switching phase and once after testing my max halfway before starting the intense meso. That is my plan to satiate your need for deadlifting.

Seriously though, your deadlift WILL increase without training it, so there is really no need to pull at all.

Thanks for the words. And absolutely, there is no balance whatsoever in schools today.

Smolov Base Mesocycle, Week 1, Day 3, July 23rd, 2010.
Squat: (WtXRepsXSets)
340X5X7
Bench:
245X5X7

Hey, did you hear the one about the guy who thought he was going to deadlift during Smolov? I know, I know, that dude is an idiot.

Next Day: Tomorrow

Smolov Base Mesocycle, Week 1, Day 4, July 24th, 2010.
Squat: (WtXRepsXSets)
360X3X10

No bench today. After two hours of squatting my desire to lift anymore weights was non-existent. We will continue to bench 3 days a week though, which will be more than enough to get a substantial increase.

Next Day: Monday

Good work man! Today's workout took me a bit of time as well. Definately no other work can be done on these days, the last couple sets get brutal! my calculated max is 405, but i decided to go w/ 385 for this base cycle because I have phyically lifted that for one rep recently...look for a big increase after I max in the 4th week!

Heh nice joke. Let me know when your free to meet up and talk. I have no tv or Internet except when I'm at my girlfriends. So I do nothing all day except pack and work out.
