Commander,
I had heard about a new one coming out, but what I heard was the second part of that article. I had no clue about the combat test. Changes are being made, we already saw a new manual, outlining how unit PT should be done. LOTS of changes were made, not only to the exercise type (from traditional PU/SU improvement type) to more obstacle course and "functional training" type. We have also adopted a more conventional DYNAMIC WARMUP vs the old stretch and hold.

Definately, Commander, they are moving in the right direction. They are seeing that what we are phasing out was causing injuries, people were not healing, and it pretty much didnt work. How can you say someone is in shape by seeing how many pushups and situps they can do in 2 minutes, then go run 2 miles.
Anyways...16 days left Peaking Squat: 385x4x1 -felt great Deadlift: 405x3x1 -after talking w/ Mike Z, and how this program has at best not helped our DL, I will be slightly tweaking my DL training next week. the plan will be to hit a near max (about 10lbs light) on weds, then again a day or so before the meet. I need to get my body lifting heavy again on deads.

Peaking Squat: 365x4x3 -was supposed to do 4 reps, took one off, added a few lbs to deadlifts...those are my priority right now Deadlift: 385x3x4

11 days and counting...
Peaking: Deadlift: 455x1 @ 9.5 RPE -had to use alternate gym, no chalk...was able to get 465 with straps, so I am confident I could add a few lbs to my lift today with better grip and better bar Squat @ 85% 345x3x1 Friday will be squat only, singles at about 95-97 %, no deadlift. Will do another heavy single a day or two before the meet
