DUP taper, day 2

Bench:
255x2x1

Incline for small assistance

-i have decided to shoot to compete on march 19-20 in PA. I will compete in the 198 class, and wass 200.8 last night.. Its soon, but I just have to do it. I will be incorporating a daily countdown (like the cool kids do) so as of today I have 45 days to get strong.

-my plan is to finish this current taper, then restartt the volume block, run another deload, then peak for the comp.

-any help by guys who have competed is greatly appreciated...ie, what can I do pre,para comp day to make this experience best possible?

Awesome, it's about time, you are strong, now it's time to show it.

I am just a novice, and I am sure Mike Z will help you bring it home training wise, but regarding other practical advice, you can check out my response to Andro when he asked a similar question.

202 lbs upon waking

Today is an off day, will be spent walking thru museums with my family...ill be sure to pack plenty of gatorade and bcaa!!!

Today I also told my wife to hide my caffeiene and not give it back until a week before the meet, I don't want to be dependent on it and want an effect at the m$eet

Superbowl Sunday (GO PACK!), dog will get a walk, and thats about it! Training cycle begins again tomorrow.

41 Days left until Meet time!

Peaking cycle 1.

after talking w/ wm, we decided to peak for 2 weeks, deload and assess, peak another 2 weeks.

Squat:
345x4x6

(felt pretty easy, I may be on the lighter side of my calculated max)

-squat form started to deteriorate after 5 reps...Ill get stronger, no worries!

I was thankful to see that! I have stopped squatting in front of a mirror, and it feels like I am doing quarter reps...was refreshing to see parallel (I think a little below actually)!
