Non linear split. Day 15.
Bench hypertrophy. 2/22/2010.

Bench Press
143x10
143x8
132x9

Incline Press
110x8
99x8
93.5x8

Dips
BW+11 x 8
BW x 9
BW x 7

Not a bad workout today, got a great pump going and after dips i could hardly move my arms. Im slightly disappointed with incline again as i didnt get more reps than last week but on flat bench i blew past last weeks numbers on the 2nd and 3rd sets with ease.
Tomorrow is squat hypertrophy

Day 16
Squat hypertrophy. 2/23/2010.

Squats
181.5x9x3 (PR)

End of workout.

I had to stop after doing squats. felt a bit queasy after my last set and took 15 minutes in fresh air to try and recover, went back in and did one set of leg extentions to warm back up then i went queasy again. Threw up for only the seocnd time ever from lifting and then tried to let it pass. didnt have time after that to do anything else. Atleast i got my squats in and they were solid.

Shear awesomeness! Once squats get into the higher reps, like 8+, they are brutal in terms of inducing nausea!

it was horrific, i felt like death for about 4 hours after. i was looking forward to the assistance work and occluded calves again but nevermind. i'll bring my A game next time and some anti nausea pills lol

Now that's a workout! Way to keep it up. And congratz...you're drive and willpower is now stronger than your body's. It tells you "Stop, you can't do any more. You'll get sick, you'll embarrass yourself!" And you reply with "F you, I'm squatting!"

You are right on the money there. the last 2 reps on the 3rd set i shouldnt have done but i just took a rest pause of 5 seconds and went for it. ive got a really good mentality going, and next time i'll push even harder, if my body doesnt like it then it will have to get used to it.

Im getting used to the hypertrophy workouts now and my stamina is improving. My shoulder strength is beginning to improve and i think its the transition from standing to seated press which has done it. ive also increased rest times from 90 secs to 120 secs to try and increase the number of reps im getting for greater stimulus. Im really looking forward to deadlifts tomorrow.

(one off to fry my lats due to poor showing on pullups)

Deadlifts were spot on today. The last rep was very tough but i managed it well.
I was really wound up earlier as someone in the gym asked if i had trained my forearms recently? they said they looked smaller. so i hit them hard today and ive decided that with my deadlift workouts from now on, one week will be BB curls, the next a forearm superset to get them how i want.
I've also been really poor on pullups recently as if i dont do them first in a workout i cant do many. But im going to stick with them and push through it.

DE bench. 02/27/2010

Rear delt machine

DE bench was good today. nice and explosive, i took this as an opportunity to work on setting up the BP properly with regards to isometric contraction of the glutes and lats and really concentrating on leg drive, which is my main weakness with bench press.
Rear delts felt light today and im startign to see much more development of my whole shoulder complex
