Non-linear split. Day 8
DE Squats. 2/15/2010

DE Box Squats
135x3x8 (50% 1RM)

Chins
BWx9
BWx8
BWx6

Did have much spring on the box squats as my hams are not 100% after good mornings back on the 12th. should be ok for heavy squats on thurs. Tomorrow is heavy bench. Going to attempt my 5RM PR.

Non-linear split. Day 9
Heavy Bench. 2/16/2010

Bench press
170.5x5
176x3
187x1

Incline Bench
121x4
110x6
110x5

Dips
BW+22x5
BW+16.5x6
BW+11x7

I enjoyed this workout. I could have had 192.5 for 1 on bench but played it safe on 187 as i havent tried my max for a very long time. Felt good to attempt my 1RM. Incline was much better than last time round and dip[s im improving nicely on.
Tomorrow is a well deserved day off before heavy squats on thurs.

I dont miss starting strength at all, glad i dont have to squat every workout.
just drink 2 glasses after every meal and as much as you need when working out. it will come to about 4-5 litres. As for weight gain i wouldnt bother weighing yourself for the whole time you are loading. my weight was up and down like a yo yo. Oh and ive stopped taking creatine now. finances arent the best!

Non-linear split. Day 11
Heavy Squats. 02/18/2010.

Squats
230.5x5x3 (PR)

Leg extentions
110x10
100x10
100x8

Standing Calf raises (occluded)
75x15
75x12
75x8

Squats felt very heavy today and i barely managed my last rep. After that i couldnt even look at the squat rack again so decided to give my quads a hit doing leg extentions instead.
This was my first workout utilising occlusion training for calves and i have to say it is insane. i have never felt so weak after any 3 sets of anything like that. i couldnt walk! The last set was also a joke, my calves simply gave in. Hopefully it is the shock they need to grow.
Military press tomorrow

I aint gonna be loading, as i want to get the most out of the tub. So my weight shouldn't be to up and down should it? How was your wait when on the maintinace cycle of creatine? My funds are slowly running out, i'm thinking of packing in the uni and getting into work as i feel like a ponce at uni.

my weight just increased as i expected with a normal bulking cycle. I would strongly suggest you do a loading phase, otherwise it will take weeks for your muscles to reach full saturation, yet it can be done in 5 days by loading.
I went to uni myself and it wasnt easy money wise, its a big thing to quit it so think about it long and hard as prospective employers will ask about why you dropped out. You could always quit and start uni again somewhere else closer to home and do nutritional science or sports science. i really wish i had done that myself!

Non-linear split. Day 12
Heavy military. 2/19/2010

Seated military press
110x6x2
110x5 (PR)

CGBP
132x10
143x9
154x6 (PR)

Dips
BW+22 x 7
BW+22 x 6
BW+16.5 x 5

Boom! im all of a sudden in a groove with everything. OH press felt amazing. i never expected to get 2 sets of 6. so i'll be bumping the weight up. I was also very explosive on CGBP and beat my PR by some way for this. last time i got 110 for 12 this time 132 for 10
Dips felt good very good. i hit a groove.
Tomorrow, Deadlift!

Non linear split. Day 13.
Deadlift. 2/20/2010

Deadlift
242x2
264x3x2
275x2

Wide grip pullups
BWx6x2
BWx5

Hyperextentions
22x11
22x10x2

BB curls
60x12
70x8
60x8

DL's were amazing today, i undershot my first set which was meant to be 3 reps at 90% but it felt light so i stopped it short and threw 10kg more on the bar. Felt really good to finally progress past my old PR, but this time round my form is so much better, the true test will be 5 reps x2 next week.
Pullups were tough work but everything else went as expected.
A well earned day off tomorrow then bench hypertrophy on monday.

Oh and i officially hate occlusion training, but in a good way. my calves are kiling me like ive never felt before, i hope the DOMS isnt like this after every workout using it.
