Question ZMA Question

I have a quick question about ZMA. I know your are not supposed to intake calcium with it or it is not supposed to have calcium in the product. My question is, is it okay to eat a whey protein shake or cottage or milk 2 hours before bedtime and then take the ZMA supplement afterwards like after 2 hours?
The above I mentioned all have calcium in it, if I can not take them within that time frame what do you guys/gals intake before bedtime to avoid the whole calcium thing?

I bought it today and I wanted to give it a shot but I hope someone can give me a good answer before I go to bed so I can know what to do?

Thanks

I recently read that zma should be taken after dinner on an empty stomach, an hour before bedtime. At bedtime is the casin meal such as cottage cheese or a casin shake.

I think you'll be fine if you take it with your last meal.

Yeah, strange. I read this thread last night and it had two replies.

To the OP, that's fine - aim for 30 minutes before bed.

take your ZMA an hour before bed, then take your protein shake. That way the ZMA will most likely be utilized and wont be effected by your calcium intake.

thnx for all your advice. fightbackhxc21 whey protein has calcium in it so it might affect it or will it not matter since you are taking the Protein Shake 30 mins later and I would guess the ZMA would be absorbed by than. I read articles stating that ZMA works for people that are deficient in those minerals or else you do not need to take it.

So you guys think it is okay to eat than 2 hours later take the ZMA even if you had some sort of calcium in your meal. Is that alright?

I would just eat dinner, then take the zma an hour before your shake then down your shake.

I dont think it would effect any of the absorption because it should already be well on its way after an hour of digestion.

someone correct me if im mistaken.

My dinner is anytime after 7 PM.
ZMA at 9:15
Casein shake at 10

Works great for me. I've had sleeping problems for years. Thanks to this site and finding out about ZMA, I rarely have a problem sleeping at all
