Default Food questions for those who know more than me...

For pwo shakes I have read that it is good to consume simple carbs i.e. 50/50 maltodextrin and dextrose.

Also, I read from the mass diet articles about using an EFA salad dressing.

From Jacob Wilson's "Get Big Diet", he mentions taking 2 or 3:1 ratio N3-N6 EFA'S--2 table spoons.

So my questions are:

1. What are good food sources for maltodextrin and dextrose?

2. What exacly are N3-N6 EFA's, and where can I get them?

3. Is EFA salad dressing something that is bought or made?

4. What are you guys spending on food a month?

5. Would a P/C/F ratio of 40/30/30 be a meal that contains say 100 grams of macronutrients 40 of which is protien, 30 carbs, and 30 fats?

I do apologize if these are elementary questions.

I splurge on a lot of my food... lol.

I spend $50-75/week on food. I get a lot of fresh spinach/lettuce, I get ~10lbs of chicken breasts per week, and I get a lot of frozen broccoli florets ($2/bag, I get ~10/week).

Add to that cottage cheese, the occasional refill box of whole wheat pasta, oatmeal refills for work, crystal light, bottles of dressing, etc.

Where are these malto and dext powders purchased? I tried looking at nutrition stores and what not and had no luck. For now, I just use pure corn syrup as it has 31 grams of CHO, half of which is sugar.

Here in Alabama, my wife says she spends about $70/80 a week. That is not splurging. This is basic stuff for our everyday needs and to sustain our diet.
