I only caught the main event, but Lauzon was a FREAK in the grappling, up and down. That leg lock to takedown sweep and the fireman's carry were amazing! When I was doing MMA, our instructor had us drilling that fireman's carry often and I was always thinking "I've never seen that used in a fight." Guess I can't complain about that anymore! His dominance and quickness from top position on the ground was also better than I'd ever seen from him, and I rank it up there with the best in the lightweights.
Here's the problem... BJ is at the top of the lightweight class. Lauzon looked great against a severely outmatched grappler, but he REALLY needs to balance out his game (inside/outside striking, single/double leg takedowns, better counter striking) if he has any chance of winning a fight against BJ. You put grappling against grappling in the ring with BJ and anybody in LW, I'm taking BJ everytime.

Diego Sanchez over Joe Stevenson Koscheck over Thiago Marquardt over Gouveia Markham over Hardy i'm picking Diego over Joe because i'm not only a fan...i think he's going to have the mental edge. florian owned stevenson and diego owned florian...but it may be a tossup since Diego is coming down from 170 to a new weight class. Koscheck is facing a newcomer to UFC...Thiago is undefeated, i just don't want to put my money behind somebody without octagon expereince...i also love how koscheck has developed as a fighter...i think he will very likely take him down and ground and pound him till the ref stops it. Marquardt...i just have a feeling...no solid reasoning...just a feeling...same with Markham

I hate picking a guy switching to a new weight class... but
Diego over Stevenson Marquardt over Gouveia Maia over Sonnen Koscheck over Thiago (subject to change, need ot do some research) and I'm making a prediction that Demian Maia Vs. Chael Sonnen will be either Fight of the Night of Submission of the Night. That fight is going to be great. I hope some of you have seen Sonnen before.

Mir looking pretty **** good lately. I mean he finished Nog. I didn't even think that was possible considering the amount of punishment I've seen him take before. His cardio and striking are way improved. I think the Mir of old is back and will be trouble for the big man.
I really wish they had taken more time to build up Lesnar (They are doing it now with Velasquez, who looked awesome), so we could watch him mature and learn the game. He has tools no one else has, but he is still just as likely to get leg locked as he was last time. If you look at it objectively, he did nothing physically dominating against cotoure, who is a much smaller fighter than Mir. If someone can learn how to counter his amateurish, yet effective, hammerfists once it gets to the ground, his only tool thus far for victory will be nullified. I'm reserving my call for a later date, but I am leaning towards Mir at the time. Just wish I could see another fight or 2 from lesnar before hand.
