I just can't help but think that something is up with the post poning of Brock's fight. Consequently, I have done some research and came across a board that posted a recent video link:

http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=303477.0

Now if Brock was so sick (rumored to have flu or swine flue for over 3 weeks), why is he in such good spirits, blowing the horn, and coming in such close contact with people?? I know the swine flu is bad, but over a month??? Something does not add up.

My original theory was that he misplanned a steroid cycle or got hold of the wrong steroids and needs more time to let it clear out of his system. I sure hope this is not true, and would like to think that Brock is really sick, and while he does look happy on the video, he is just not well enough to train.

There is also rumor that Dana didn't think that the end of year cards were going to fare well since Rampage isn't fighting, and he moved it to January. I do not believe this is the case.

While my theory was more of a joke, I am going to hope it was incorrect. Brock has never tested positive, and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, even though things seem odd.

Thoughts???

an interesting theory...we'll never know what the actual reason is...but if he said he was sick, then perhaps he was...i've always been taught that if you don't know why something happened....follow the money i'm sure if he wasn't sick, then that might be a reason....how come none of this came up with Frank Mir though? Frank Mir post poned his fight with Lesnar...was he trying to cycle his roids too?

my strikeforce picks

Fedor over Rogers (there is no way i could pick against fedor)
Mousasi over Sokoudjou

Mousasi has the same demeanor as Fedor...watch him when he walks out...there won't be a calmer guy in the arena

I doubt it, but he did come in that fight in much better shape than ever before . I doubt either fight is the case since there is so much to lose if they get caught.

As for Strikeforce picks:

Fedor over Rogers
Mousasi over Sokodoju
Shields over Mayhem
Werdum over Silva

I heard a theory that they wanted to move the fight to the year end show without upsetting people who had already purchased tickets, so they made up the illness. Honestly fights get postponed all the time and I think this one is getting read too far into.

Why is it that Lesnar has an excuse at the 60 day mark each time?

I wonder if the old supplement clearing time is an issue.

I find it hilarious though that a guy in as good of shape as Lesnar can not only catch H1N1...but only a couple of weeks later come down with mono...which takes about 60 days to clear the system. A guy with H1N1 should of been confined to home with bedrest and yet ....mono...this guy is hilarious.

Vince McMahon could not write a better storyline line.
Now the fight is not happening at UFC 108 either. Apparently, Brock now has mono. My question is, why was he not confined to bed rest like the quote referenced from another board when he thought he had H1N1? Oh well, one day this fight will happen.

The UFC may take a hit in ratings in the upcoming PPV's b/c along with this fight not happening soon, the Rampage ordeal, and Anderson Silva not fighting for a while due to surgery. Hopefully GSP can come in soon and put on a good show, even though his next opponent IMO will not be much of a challenge.

Another star is gone as well....Hendo is to Strikeforce. If Strikeforce does well this weekend, then they may get a little momentum.

Just watched Strikeforce today, going into the fights I was only looking forward to Miller and Shields, the other fights I knew would end the way they did. Shields and Miller put on a good show, really enjoyed that fight.

ugh, I thought shields v. mayhem was a boring wrestling clinic. That show desperately needed Rogan as an anouncer to get across to the casual fans watching what was actually going on. I am normally not one to complain about grappling matches, but Shields got mount like a dozen times and did next to nothing with it.

I swear, I like Mauro Ranallo, but whenever I heard the anouncers say "jiu jitsu 101" on a complex move it annoyed the hell out of me. For example:

was anounced as "jiu jitsu 101". He did it so well it makes me wonder why he didnt try to fully transition to a leg lock from there.

Funny quote I heard regarding the main event:
"I haven't seen a russian beat down a black guy like that since Ivan Drago killed Apollo Creed!"
