I think people got too spoiled, Silva never fought was reckless abandon, he capitalized on his opponent's mistakes which often happened in the first round. Fighters are beginning to get smarter in there with him, not making those same mistakes. In the same sense Silva won't abandon his game plan just to make sure people are happy, that's careless, he's there to win, if that means fighting the boring, but smart fight more power to him. But I like the comment earlier, none of us can judge until we've been in the same situation.

Have all of you forgotten that there would be no fighting and there would be no demand if infact the poeple did not want to see some serious fighting. If I wanted to whatch some amature fighting I would go to tube. As far is Leites goes he should have bucked up and tried taking Silva down. I don't believe last I checked that falling down is a tactic of fighting. Although maybe he could take up professional diving, after all diving is just looking realy awsome when you fall. Leites was way to young and under trained for that fight. I agree Americans boo alot but atleast were not as bad as the British. Aside from all that, I think Lyoto machida is the only gleaming light of hope left. Perhaps he will not disapoint......

Lyoto Machida will most likely not fight Anderson Silva. They are training partners. Those were my thoughts tho but then i remember that.

That's Andersen Silva's last legit loss (not counting the Okami DQ). To a flying scissor takedown to heel hook... in other words... Chonan intentionally "fell down" and ended the fight in seconds against the very fighter in question.

Pulling guard is a legit tactic. Leites could not take him down and knew he had nothing for him standing so he was hoping Silva would get frustrated and come to the only place he hada chance, his guard. Unfortunately for Leites and the fans, Silva wasn't having it.

I've seen him wrestle and its pretty incredible, but in all seriousness, how is he capable of finishing a fight? What about kicks/knees to a downed opponent? Is he always "downed"? I'm all for everyone getting a shot, but this has bad news written all over it.

I'm all for equal opportunity, but not in potentially dangerous situations, honestly I'm interested to see how he defends against strikes. I believe the commission is going to regret this decision. I believe they're more interested in money than the safety of the fighters, they why I respect White's decision to not let Liddell fight in the UFC anymore.

Just watched the first round of the Kyle Maynard fight, honestly I felt sorry for all parties involved. Maynard's only chance of winning was to take his opponent down, going into a fight and knowing that's the only thing you need to defend against makes a fight that much easier. But if you're the other guy you're already the bad guy, the crowd was 100% in favor of Maynard which is cool, but you win a fight, but is it really a win? You just beat someone with a handicap. All I have to say is I'm thankful that no one got hurt, and hopefully in the future they won't put money over someone's well being.
