i might have to give the dynamic warmup a go, everyone else looks like a muppet in my gym so i might aswell get some funny looks from doing something useful, unlike them stuggling with 50lbs on their 8th set of BB curls with shoddy form.

Exactly, while you're warming up it seems to be effective before you get to your first working set. But during your rest intervals of your working sets I believe it to be counterproductive. Also, glad to hear that your deadlift is coming back, look forward to seeing the next pull.

Oh, and nice distance on that push press from a few days ago.

Ha, ha, yes, don't be scared to be different. There's a reason everyone else in your gym probably looks the same as they did months ago while you are growing and putting new plates on the bar.

Got it, makes sense.

I'm looking foward to future deadlifts as well.

Dynamic Warmup

DE Squat
165, 2x3
185, 4x3
205, 2x3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByHny93FynE

Video is a comparison of 165 to 205 on my DE Squats. I am working on getting as low as possible and trying to stay tight while slightly pausing at the bottom.

I feel like I did a good job, it does appear that my lower back rounds in the video once I pass parallel.

However, I must note, that my lower back did not feel like it was rounding, I felt like I maintained a strong arch. Not sure what is more important, 1) how it felt or 2) how it appeared.

Chin-ups
BW, +10, +20, 30, 40, 50, 60x3
BW+20x8

Chin-ups felt really good.

Pull-ups
BWx3,3,3,2,2 - total 13

Did the pullups in rest pause fashion, doing 3 reps each mini-set and resting 10 seconds before doing 3 more, dropped to 2 when I couldn't do 3 without slowing down.

Foam rolling and stretching

Any way to elaborate on that? Don't mean to hijack your thread commander haha, just curious. I've always done shoulder slaps and things like that between sets to keep my chest/shoulders warm never thinking it could hinder performance as long as I wasn't all out stretching. If it can hinder, I should probably stop.

They are very low on the squats! nice explosion to finish each rep. Personally im not going that low. i go just past parallel on them as thats what i do for my working sets. Have you not considered box squats for your DE work?

I've done box squats in the past and in comparison, I think I am getting more out of my DE work doing free squats as opposed to box.
