Also heard that. I know that squats are physically more taxing, but I can always get psyched up for them. Weighted walking lunges on the other hand I have a much harder time getting amped up for. Plus, DOMS in my quads & hammies, though painful, I love. DOMS in my arse . . . not so much.

Congrats on the lift. Definitely impressive on the cut. These kinds of consistent, successful surprises are what it is all about.
Thanks for checking in Wizard.

Fast went well, I was praying for peace with a situation. Peace for my wife and I, and also for my mother-in-law who is moving out of our house on July 13th. I am completely at peace. The fast went well, I had no problems not eating, just consumed water and tea.

Thanks, I was really psyched about the 325x5, but even though the cut is going well and I enjoy getting lean....I am looking foward to bulking again and smashing some PRs.

No workout this weekend, unless you count the 9 hours of NEPA or GPP I got from moving people!

I spent 5 hours moving a friend on Saturday then 4 hours moving my mother-in-law on Sunday. I stayed low-carb all weekend, somehow managed to get through. All in all, an exhausting weekend....and it took it's toll, I am at my lowest weight in a long time; 186.5 this morning.

I'll post my average weight later, don't have access to my spreadsheet right now.

Previous intake: Cal 2220, f-78, c-198, p-182
Current intake:Cal 2174, f-80, c-178, p-186

Last week's bodyweight average: 189.6
This week's: 188.3

I can feel that there is less fat on my outer chest, abs, calves, butt and delts. My wife can see the difference as well.

I have a whole new confidence now with my body. Since this first cut has been successful, I really feel like now I am in complete control of my body....I can literally manipulate my weight as I want.....as long as I am patient.

Yesterday was supposed to by ME Squat, but seeing that my lower back and legs were still tired from moving people over the weekend, I decided to give them 1 more day of rest and do....

Thank you for checking in bulldawg. I really have been making good strides. I experienced newbie like gains this past year. I hope to have some more good gains when I run Smolov again.

New Pictures:

I also put these picture up against my old ones here.

Looks like the cut is going phenomenally well for you. Especially with the weight you are still able to move as compared to your PRs. You can really see the oblique and ab development coming in too. Well done brother!

Thanks, it has been going well...and as always, thanks for checking in!

It has been fun feeling the fat come off places I didn't even realize I was fat. I really feel like my back is more detailed than in previous pictures.

I have stripped off about 13 lbs of fat thus far (assuming minimal muscle loss) and I think that I could probably stand to lose another 10-15 lbs of fat to have close to a shredded look. But I am about to start Smolov, so I will need to bulk. However, the knowledge I have gained from this first cut experience has been very rewarding.
