Question Eating eggs raw

I eat Grade A eggs from Aldi. They are caged from what I can figure out on the packing.

1. Are these safe to eat raw?
2. If yes, anyone with experience?
3. If yes, to #2, please share your advice on how best to consume raw eggs and if there is anything that could/should be added to the raw eggs for my drinking pleasure.

Basically, I am sick of eating the same omelette everyday and spending the time to prepare and cook it.

Um, raw eggs are hard on your digestive system, but people been doing it for years so.... bacteria...

I used to do it (feels like your swallowing a giant booger). Trust me, i have tried these a hundred different ways, blended, whole, whatever, there is no such thing as 'drinking pleasure' with raw eggs haha! brr gross... I have even tried to 'drink' hardboiled eggs... THAT WAS THE NASTIEST WAY I EVER TRIED!!!!

i would just do egg salad on a sandwich. I love that way!!!

i have raw eggs all the time, its alot easier than preparing it. I take it like it was a shot, don't give your gag reflex to kick in and you should be fine. Once your used to it, it still won't make it like drinking water, but it'll be easier.

how the %^&% do you drink a hard boiled egg....?

its hard to drink a raw egg, but its something you gotta get used too. i personally stick to the hard boiled. leave it boiling for 10 min, and open and pop it in. easy and tastes good too.

should've added in some mayo to the blender, would've been like drinking egg salad. I love egg salad! lol.

p.s. never tried raw eggs, never will. There's always something 100000% better that is just as "quick and easy." Open a can of tuna, eat it raw. Takes 30 seconds.

Or (god forbid) you take 10 minutes to cook and eat the omelet. Or just scramble eggs. I eat 6 scrambled egg whites sometimes twice between 5pm and 10pm. Depends on what I'm craving.

Does it matter if their caged? I thought they were somehow less healthy if they were caged and more likely to pass some bacteria on to me?

Any suggestions on how to "get used to it"? Do I start with 1 egg and build up?

Same with you, never got sick from drinking them?

What do you do? Just crack them into a cup and slurp it down?

Thank you very much for all the replies, ABC always comes through when you need it!

I know, I know, it sounds petty, but as the father of 2 children, every minute is precious, the quicker I get my lunch done, the more I can play with my 4 year old on my lunch break. Plus, as I said, I am sick of the omelet. I already eat plenty of tuna, definitely don't want more!
