Hi, i just switched up my routine to this and i'm doing 5x5 for everything unless otherwise noted and i was wondering if this was a good idea for bulking? I take whey protein pre/post workout and creatine monohydrate post workout along with casein protein before i go to bed and right when i wake up. I eat a healthy high calorie, high carb and high protein diet. I weigh 171 lbs, 6'0 tall, and my %BF is around 5-6
Monday squats leg press lunges calf raises Tuesday incline press bench press fly french curl tricep push down Wednesday light cardio Thursday overhand chin up ( 4 sets till failure) dumbbell rows barbell pullover shrugs lat pulldown Friday standing dumbbell press dumbbell side raise behind the back barbell wrist curl reverse barbell curl EZ bar curl Saturday heavy cardio Sunday Rest Any advice would be greatly appreciated |

looks like a lot of 5x5 'ing' i would say do that for the compounds..then the aux. lifts do more typical a few sets at 8-10 reps maybe as a pre exhaust or finisher

on your leg day. if you do your squats correctly at the proper intensity, you would be dead before doing leg press or lunges.
also i think there is too much for your back day. id do something like deads and shrugs or db row. after most major compound lifts, you should be beat after. |
