i've been doing a lot of thinking about the flat bb bench lately, especially since layne tore his pec. i also remembered that's exactly how i jacked up my shoulder. i'm starting to flirt with the idea of taking it completley out of my program. any thoughts?

I don't do flat bench at all. First time I did it in like a year was with Fahs a few months ago and I got injured!
Layne must tell me 10 times a day NOT to do flat bench lol. So yeah, I am avoiding it. My chest is extremely vulnerable to injury. I mostly do dumbbells and incline movements now. And not full range of motion. Stop about parallel.

another great workout in the books. we had chest/shoulders/triceps. for shoulders i'm really trying to conentrate on taking it nice and slow on those movements. can't go as heavy but the burning is outrageous. here's how tonight went...
bb incline bench-245 for 5 db shoulder press-75's for 8 db flat flyes-50's for 20 db lateral raises-25's for 15 cable tricep pressdowns-120 for 10 smith machine skullcrushers-bw for 6

yeah the whole Layne thing is going through my head everytime i see somebody bench. i just can't get over it man. it would be different if it was a random person doing bench like an idiot, but it was Layne doing bench correctly, and it still happened. Bench no more.

a pretty solid workout today. we had back/bi's. here's how it went
deadlifts-315 for 15/405 for 8/495 for 1 db rows-100's for 8 cg pulldowns-170 for 15 alternating db curls-50's for 10 zottman curls-25's for 12 i hope my competition digs deep because i'm digging deeper let them think big...because i'm busy getting big let them do 10 reps...because i'm going 15 i'm bringing it all
