well here's a rundown of the battles this week...monday night we had a huge battle about my diet, where the professor actually called me out in front of the class about my diet, which didn't bother me because i'm always down for a fight...they had issues with the following
1) no fruit 2) no vegetables 3) hardly any dairy for the first point i just simply asked, why eat fruits and vegetables? despite the fact that i take a multi-vitamin, they answered for the anti-oxidants...which i responded with, and what do they do? which they responded with helps lower oxidative stress...which i responded with, exercise too, while acutely raising it, lowers oxidative stress overall they weren't satisfied with my dairy requirements....saying that i may not be getting enough calcium...which i always bait them with asking the next obvious question...why is calcium important? they responded with for healthy bones....in which i responded with my recent DEXA scan that showed that my bone mineral density was off the charts...being well above 3 standard deviations above the norm after that, one of them looks at me and says, well i guess we'll see the long term effects, we'll check back with you in 20 years, in a snide little voice, in which i responded with...YOU WON'T HAVE TO LOOK FAR, BECAUSE I'LL BE AT THE TOP. then yesterday in class, one of the dietetics students states..."if a person is overweight, i don't care if that weight is muscle or fat, it's just hard on the heart having that much weight." in which i disagreed with 100%, stating that muscle mass achieved naturally, without endogenous steroids, is not a negative in any way, and the simple fact that she's grouping two separate tissues together as one, is just not correct. 201 upon waking 219/451/53.75 today was the last workout of the offseason...i am so ready for tomorrow...i have never been more ready to start contest dieting ever in my life...tonight i'm going to watch Layne's DVD and get even more motivated for tomorrow...i'm going to celebrate the first day of Contest Prep with legs...
