Default Supplements advice

I've just started bulking again after a year off. I've got loads of supplements left over from last time, but several are out of date. I have a massive tub of creatine that expired in July 2006 - Do you think that this is still OK?

Also, I have several bottles of glucosamine sulphate - is it worth using this and if so, how much should I take each day?

I take 1.5g of EPA/DHA's and whey protein each day.

is it sale date or actually expiration date?
besides creatine like most powder cannot go of if kept in optimal storage conditions and never opened. it was proven that canned food is similar, a man ate a tin of beans from 1960 with no effect aftger the beans were tested and found to be safe still.

I would think if he use to use it, then it would be safe to say it is open, meaning it's not sealed. I would just throw it out and buy new. However you vits are still good as I don't they vits can ever go bad. Creatine is cheap anyways. I brought mine 80 5g uses for $9.

Thanks for the advice guys. I threw both (massive) tubs of the creatine out, one still had its plastic seal, but it was not an airtight seal. It's cheap enough to replace.

Does anyone know whether it would be worthwhile adding glucosamine to my supps? I found another 2 bottles of the stuff when I was clearing my room.

glucosamine is an iffy one as it is usefull but depends on your stomachs absorbtion levels. i asked a doctor and apparently your stomach may absorb upto 40g, now ive tried and i need 35g daily min to see its benifits so for me benifits to cost ratio is not any good for me

I just started taking 2 glucosamine a day. I've heard while lifting it has been recommended to use a joint aid to protect your joints. I think it has made a little difference, better then not taking any in my opinion. I am a fan of anything helps, even if it's a small amount.
