That really is a personal decision that you should make the final call on. For me, it would depend on whether Marijuana is legal in the place where I reside, the cost of it compared to cigarettes (which I'm unaware of), and which I smoke more frequently. A joint has more carcinogens than a single cigarette, but people tend to smoke more cigarretes so they even out most of the time in that regard. Cigarettes are more addictive than pot due to nicotine so you might want to kick those first since theoretically it should be a harder process (although some claim that marijuana is addictive as well). Anyway, I would evaluate your individual situation and then make a decision from there. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I know that marijuana kills motivation horribly. you can't do nearly as much in th etime you have if you are smoking. It takes up al ot of time and it makes you less active! cigs are ****ty too. Your best chances to quitting are to quit everything at once.

I think the first question is why are you quitting? The second: why can't you quit both?

I have found that those who don't want to quit rely on failed attempts with hypnosis, chantix, etc. while those who do want to quit simply quit cold turkey.

I may be an (!@#$%^&*) but I "tried to quit" for years. I didn't really want to quit so I never did. When my children were born and I realized they were just about old enough to pick up my smoking habit I REALLY wanted to quit. It's been over 8 years and counting that I've been tobacco free.

Don't fool yourself, if you want to quit you can. If you don't want to quit you will be miserable and start smoking again. As much as I love my mom and as much as she professes to want to quit she hasn't quit yet. It's a lack of desire, not will power. If you want to be a (!@#$%^&*) to smoking that's fine, just don't tell me you want to quit.

never smoked, never had the urge or bowed to pior pressure, however 90% of my friends smoke (even lifters) and there is nothin more annoying than the phrase, 'man i need a fag'
