Right then, this guy that sits across me at work has a degree related to health and fitness and has worked as a personal trainer for a few years.
now after speaking to him it seems that i shouldn't work my forearms because it will cause more damage than good and the forearms will develop proportionately as i'm working my biceps and that. What do you guys say? he also said that the grape fruit juice has the same creatine as the supplements.........?????

By using stricter form, slower negatives, and stretching between sets you can get an incredible pump in all your workouts. Numbers are an abstraction, especially to muscles. Your body doesn’t know the absolute weight of what you lift, it only recognizes how heavy it feels. The secret is to make lighter weights feel heavier. every personal trainer thinks they know everything. Just because they are fit does not mean they really know what they are talking about.

i starting working my forearms about a month ago... can tell a huge difference already. they were skinny before, strong, but not proportionate to my arms. Bull crap dude IMO they are almost like your calves- they can take a royal beating and be fine the next day....
creatine in grape juice... yup uh huh im sure he's drinking dehydrated grape juice cuz, you know, he's a personal trainer he knows creatine don't work when it's wet for very long...

i definitely think forearm training is necessary, especially grip strength training, this can make you stronger on any number of lifts

well i reckon forearm training is dependant on where you are in your working out. i have been working out for a while, and i haven't come to the stage where i need to isolate my forearms, cuz they are naturally growing with my normal lifts.
everyones different, but i reckon that it should only be isolated when they are failing before other muscles, or when they start to lack consistent size with your arm.and even then, i heard that heavy forearm weights a bad for you. the whole joints thing. said to only do high reps of low weights |

yeah the personal trainer dude said that you could cause repetative strain injury and do some damage to your wrist, but he did say that doing grip exercises was ok.
He often comes out with things that totally disagree with what i know, he even told me to work out my whole body every time i work out. I can't say anythingto him either because he's got a degree in the subject and i haven't
