Default Trying to figure all of it out.....

I am on the 13week hardcore fat burn diet and workout.

The recomendations in the diet were for supplements are at least:

Chromium 200mcg
Glutamine 20g
Protein
Creatine

All daily at a minimum.

The prtoein I am currently using is called High5, got it a MaxMuscle. It says it has L-glutamine and Glutamine, but I am not sure which of the ingredients is this item so I am not sure on the quantity. I think it's the Glutamic Acid which is 3570mg per serving. Is this sufficient for what the program calls for? Am I looking at the right item?

Also, it's a 5 hour time release protein, so it has whey for the first 1-2 hours then soy for the third hour, and potassium casienate and egg white albumin are supposed to take up to four hours. Is this a decent protein or should I look at a regular all whey protein and seperate glutamine and chromium products?

when it comes to this sort ot thing there is alot of scientific mumbo jumbo that is over my head. what it comes down to is what is best for you and what you can afford. i myself eat alot of steak and cottage cheese which contain glutamine and creatine but i still suppl. them both in powder form in the morn after workout both about 5 to ten grams . but thats up to you. I have never heard of the protein but if you like it and taste good and does not contain to much sugar then by all means go for it. I went through a few different kinds before I found "MY BRAND" of choice. Just remmeber to not complicate things to much, even thought it looks like it on the outside, once you wrap your brain around the whole thing it is really very simple and makes sense and everything will fall into place in a couple of weeks.

I guess what i want to know about the protein, is if the time release style is better for a cut or if the straight whey is better for a cut? I am indifferent, I haven't used enough of either to see any difference.

Whats too much sugar in the protein mix?

It has 1g of sugar per serving and 26 of protien. ANd the taste is Great. I've been using Banana but I picked up some vanilla today. IT's even better. They had a vanilla crapacino and it was awful, but the regular vanilla is good.

to be honest. I have no Idea about the time release thing. I did not even know they made such a thing. I just use straight up Whey. There are some proteins that load in the surgar, but 1 g is definetly fine. But if you like the taste and and is working for you then use it.

That is not too much sugar at all. Is it a time release or just slow digesting protein like casiene?
