Default Need ALOT of help

I am new to the world of suppliments and am wondering if someone can kinda help me. What I need to know is what to take and when. Like what is good before I work out and how soon after should I take say a whey product. If there is a good article to read somewhere that wold be kewl. I like to read.... Thanx in advance.

Guess I should add I am a newbi that is just starting a lifting program. I want to put on size but at the same time I want to loose body fat.

Welcome!

Your post-workout shake is possibly the most important meal of the day. Read about it here:

http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/laywindownon.php

For your shakes, you should only have pure Whey. Champion nutrition has to be the tastiest whey, and you can usually find it in stores, or our online store. If you can't find Champion, then look for Optimum 100% Whey from Optimum Nutrition, which is even carried by gnc sometimes.

For Pre-workout, you can take some aminos like the amino acid shooter here:

http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/amino...ooterindex.php

Check out those two articles.

But, your diet is even more important than the supplements you take. You should post a sample diet in the nutrition section and the members here can help you with it. Be sure to include your goals.

If your diet is the weakest point you do not need any sups until you fix it first...Why spend the money if you are eating like (!@#$%^&*)?...This stuff only works with a well ballanced diet like the label says.

That last part was for my amusement...still laughing. First thing the labels ever got right. Or when they say proper diet. Notice they do not tell you what it is just that there product will not work without it. Nice

I don't really disagree TOTALLY with the top quote. I just think it's the last thing new guys should be worrying about. Yes it's important, I agree. But it def. should not be the most focused meal for new guys. Why? Because they will put all their effort in to getting everything right for that one simple meal. Measuring it to be exact amount of X, exact amount of Y and Z. When all of this is going around, they'll be like ... well I am not really hungry and I am meant to eat meal 2. Doesn't matter, as long as I get my most important meal of the day in, my PWO I will be fine. So it kind of gets these new guys seriously worrying and stressing over a simple meal.

I love this quote: "If more bodybuilders put as much effort in to their 6 meals a day as they do in their PWO, there'd be a lot bigger people around"

I agree. Get those 6 meals/diet down to a tee. Then once you truly believe you need to move to supplements then do so.

Check this out. ..

I know meals and the proper foods are big time and it will probably be the hardest thing for me. I have been hunting through as many books and mags to find good meal ideas and am slowly building meals for the complete week. Thanx againguys I will research and work on the food part.

Put the mags down and head to the top of this page and click on nutrition section. Then head over to the bottom of the forum main page and check out the bodybuilders grocery list. Your questions will be lessened and simplified. All will become clear and you will succeed.
