Sorry to here about the finger dude... You have the worst luck when it comes to injuries! I hope it won't stop you completely in the gym, though. I had a cast on for 2 months and still hit the weights... I was only really limited in exercise selection (just machines). Have you seen the doctor yet?

But don't worry, little things like this have never gotten me down, in fact I'm even more eager to hit the gym now. Plus its just the finger tip once the swelling and the bruising go down I'll be able to do what I do. I have not seen my doc but I went to a walk in near my work as well as seen my athletic therapist and both agree it is most likely a fracture and not a full brake. I'll go to my doc sometime next week and get some x-rays done if needed. Once the swelling goes down I'll put the finger splint on and go back to training.. So I give it till Monday. Again another day off training, waiting for the finger to heal.
On the bright side, the swelling in the finger has gone down a lot and I can more it almost perfectly.. Still hurts, is discoloured and is bruised but it should be cleared up by Christmas time.

Things are looking good, the discolouring is almost gone, the finger nail has not fallen off nor is it coming off, it is just discoloured. The swelling is almost unnoticeable, but there is still some pain, mostly from the bruise and the nail itself. Well here are a couple of pics that show the state of the finger today. Enjoy. Okay yesterday was a first day of working out sense the finger thing happened.
DATE: Dec 27th 2007 I just did come light cardio and a light Muay Thai training session. <font color="green">CARDIO</font> ROWING MACHINE DISTANCE: 1,000meters TIME: 3:41sec 2min brake TREADMILL DISTANCE: 1.0 mile TIME: 7:29sec <font color="brown">MUAY THAI</font> TIME: 1hour Just some light bag work, the instructor is out of the country so a couple of us got together and did some bag work. I felt like crap the whole day, the holiday treats and junk food really have destroyed my energy levels.I've been feeling very sleepy and lethargic lately, something that hasn't happened to me in a very long time.
