Default Pre workout nutrition variation

Certain days i'll just do quick HIIT cardio...i was wondering if i should follow a 20/20 for preworkout nutrition considering its a much shorter period. Typically 10-20 minutes max.

Not positive what you mean by 20/20 or what foods you are planning on consuming. Please clarify.

oh sorry...here i thought 20/40, 20/20 was common talk...my mistake. I meant that normally before a workout ill take 20 grams of protein and 40 grams of carbs...but for a much shorter workout like HITT, would i adjust these variables? Especially considering im on a massive cut.

Ratios typically refer to precentages and people usually list all 3 macros (i.e. PCF); so I just wanted to be sure I understood what you meant.

How close do you have that in proximity to your workout?

Typically I'll do a whole meal within 90-120 minutes, and then have essential aminos, and sometimes high GI carbs for a hard-core weight session.

But anyway, yes, you can lower your carbohydrates if you lower your workout volume.

i work out right when i wake up. Before when i was just having a granola bar and whey, i would workout like 5 minutes after. But the oatmeal keeps me pretty stuffed...as im on a cut and not used to the carbs. So i take the whey and oatmeal and a half hour later i lift. But thanks...intuitively it seemed obvious, but you can never be sure with the body!

BTW Venom, if you ever get a chance, if you could check out my journal and let me know if you see any mistakes i'm commiting. As far as my nutritional plan. Ive been struggling on my cut...ive never struggled when really committed before. Also, you might be in the middle of finals, like me, so i understand all to well if your busy.

Yup, you and I are in the same boat my friend. Finals are brutal. After I finish I'll check that out!
