My strength gains are like newbie gains right now - just rediculous!
I was kind of cautious on chest today, was not sure what I could do, so I went lighter. Did 120 dumbbells. I was amazed how light it felt - i got 12 times. So then I did 130 6. That is sweet! Tempted to try 140 next time...we'll see. I wanted to do heavy legs, but after warming up on squats, i could tell my glutes were too sore from deads yesterday. so i just did some occlusion training. im tired now...

felt really tired today so took the day off.
also, i seemed to have injured my ankle on sunday, and yesterdays workout aggravated it. so its a little sore. not a big deal, but want to play it safe.

Program was off last several days. But today I am starting a completely monitored and detailed diet and training program. Really excited about it. Did back, chest hypertrophy to start it out:
wide grip pull-downs - 3 sets, strip on last set deads - 360 10, 10, 315 10 - cannot believe how light this felt. Especially 315. Just a month ago 315 was heavy; it felt like 225! Close grip pull-downs on assisted pull-up machine - 3 sets strip on end. Never did this before, probably cause of my ego, but prez showed it to me in vegas...its a great machine. Allows you to really focus on the contraction. dumbbell bunch - 100s 10, 10, 90s 10. Incline bench - 185 10, 10, 135 10 cross overs w/ static contraction on incline press machine - did this for the blood occlusion effect On chest when very slow on negatives - 3-4 seconds. 1-2 concentric. Stretched then 15 minutes walking after. Having my post workout shake now, need to recover cause later tonight I go to war again.

Good night workout. Had to make up still on some body parts, so did a variety of things. Delts fast, then arms / thighs heavy, and closed it out with blood occlusion on forearms. Blood occlusion on forearms is ridiculously painful. I also sweat like a pig; and I can't wipe the sweat because I can't bend my elbows with the occlusion wraps on!

did 20 minute hard-core elliptical. I got a new elliptical for my apartment for during the winter months...its really sweat. I did a program called endurance...killed me!

elliptical in your apartment...that's awesome...it really helps having cardio at your house...i have a treadmill and it's just a lot easier to be miserable in the comfort of your own home...especially during contest prep

It definitely is the way to go. It's a drag just going to the gym to do cardio. I find this really increases adherence and saves a lot of time....
Some injury updates ankle - seems A ok! Glute - still feel some discomfort. All I am asking is 460 6 times from my glutes on deads; then I'll ease up. Pecs - felt a little pain around the tendon...has happened several times in past. Just have to be careful with my frequency and heavy lifts with pecs.

Last night did back, chest fast, triceps, calves.
Close grip pull-downs (neutral grip) - 3 sets deads 3 *6 275 - super light. I am shooting for 460 my next workout. Really want to get that 6! Flat dumbbel press - 90 pounds 6 reps 2 sets. My pecs are still hurting on the tendon, so just did this. I am taking 4 days off pecs then training them heavy. Then i'll taper back. Venom rows strip overhead tricep extensions cables Hyperextensions Also did some calves between sets, heavy. Maxed out standing and donkey calve raise machines.
