![]() Depends on how much room you have to lower cals. If you can eat a lot and get cut, than you could easily just drop 200 cals at a time and see how your body responds. Otherwise, I will just analyze each meal in my diet and see if I can lower cals by making it more efficient. I.E. lower the total pro, and add some xtend to my meals. Got to get inventive when your cals get low, cause there is not too much room to adjust otherwise.

Well, I have finished the semester.
This last year was pretty much the hardest of my life...or one of the hardest. Ran my first experiment as the lead author at UIUC...killed it. Took my qual to become a PhD candidate....killed it. Took the hardest course at my school NUTR 511...Killed it. And lots and lots of other stuff that I killed. Now, it's time to focus my attention back on the more weightier matters - training lol. Starting tomorrow I will officially dub this "the summer of gabe" lol. Seinfield reference. :-) No class. Just training, and lab work. I will be doing my old doubles split, and training like the days of old. Last year I had to run a 12 week experiment in the summer! So this is my first real summer in a while...I am ready. And once again, it's on! Bring it!!!

Welcome back. Have you been maintaining mass/strength during your busy period?
And i feel you, i've come in the top percentiles in all my classes and after doing so well and working so hard all year the summer feels like a great reward and chance to do something for yourself, which is work hard on your physique. 2 exams over the next 2 days, then i'm going loco too. ![]() |

Yup, I would say I have been more in maintainence training mode during this period. But actually got a signifigant amount of hypertrophy still. I attribute this to occlusion training and obscene intakes of leucine.
