Default Food question

if I boil eggs and put them in the frig, how long will they stya good.

If I bake chicken and put it in the frig how long will it stay good.

I am wondering because I am going to have to cook all my food for the week on Sunday.

I am so busy I just don't have time.

I am pretty sure that's what most of us do... it's not like the only thing we do in life is cook and work out

eggs i'm not sure on, probably a week or so, and the chicken will last about 1.5 weeks. At least, that's the longest I've had mine in the fridge before eating it all. Of course, the container can make a difference- if you use tupperware (as opposed to just covering a plate with plastic wrap or aluminum foil) it will last longer.

Yeah, I believe alot of us do this. I will boil eggs on saturday/sunday, peel some of them and keep to have egg whites for the week and then the rest I will make a egg/tuna salad for the week. I will also steam brocolli on sunday and divide in 5 containers for the week and it is fine at the end of the week.

Agree with what Root said above, just get good containers.

HA. Speak for yourself.

Unless something chances in the chemical structure of the I don't know what after a while and I am wrong, I figure smelling it works pretty well. Just don't ignore the vinegar smell and eat two week old rice.

I think technically the max for raw meat in the fridge is 2-3 days and for cooked meat is 3-5 days. Any more than that I would not take the risk. After the 5th day you could always just switch to canned tuna.

Boiled eggs should be good for a max of 5 days in the fridge. Just go by the smell test and if they start to feel slimey it's time to toss em.
