Default Is caffeine pills good for cutting?

I recently started my cutting cycle and was wondering if I should invest in some caffeine pills for my cutting cycle. I already take green tea extracts, zma, vitamin C,multi-vitamin, flaxseed oil, fish oil, glutamine, waxy maize, and of course whey protein.

Yes, stimulants are generally good for cutting, just use moderately. Also, I've read studies that claim caffeine prior to exercise can increase the rate of fat oxidation.

I'd be interested to see what your schedule is for taking those supplements. I tend to think people buy way too much into crap supplements, but I like your list a lot. Its no non-sense. I'm still not sold on glutamine though.

I agree, I believe caffeine stimulates lipase, which is an enzyme that aids in fat oxidation if my mind serves me correctly.

Here you go MaverickBU, my list of supplements

multi-vitamin-with breakfast
green-tea extract is before breakfast,workout,lunch
Vitamin C-with breakfast,after workout
flaxseed oil-1 or 2 spoonful servings in late afternoon or early evening
fish oil-1 capsule in afternoon
Zma-right before bed on a empty stomach

Looks like a good, well-timed list. I would up the fish oil significantly for any real results. I'm assuming one capsule is 1g. I would suggest at least 5-6g a day (in multiple doses) for help on a cut, or for general health benefits. Fish oil is one of those supplements that I think EVERYONE should take, bodybuilder or not. There are some experiments in the fitness world going on with mega dosing fish oil for fat loss that are claiming some good results.

As for the caffeine, preworkout and precardio are your best bets. Unless of course your workouts are at night, in which case I would just take it in the morning (or not at all). 200mg is the industry standard dosage. I would start there for a few weeks and then up it if necessary as needed. Reducing caffeine consumption in your everyday diet will make the effect much more dramatic.

WARNING: Be careful if you are taking this with your green tea, as most often green tea already has caffeine. Just be aware of how much you are taking in. And stay hydrated.
