...and not a sip of alcohol yet. How sad is that?!
So then...I'm new to all of this...what are the best alcoholic beverages that aren't so fattening? Edit - I meant I haven't BOUGHT any yet...I've tried it in the past. That said I'm not going to go and get drunk every night...in fact I'll rarely drink alcohol even though I can now.

How bad is Mike's Hard Lemeonade? [/ QUOTE ] PURE sugar bro. I don't think you'll enjoy straight vodka much either. I personally find clear/light-colored liquors hard to take. Dark liquors like cognac and whiskey are my favorites. But not exactly the best for you. But if you're drinking anyways it shouldn't really matter. Hennessy n soda or diet soda is the best thang. |

Try mainstream stuff first, simple drinks. Find flavors you like and if you're making them yourself you'll find a big difference in the flavor just by changing the amount of each ingredient you add so simple booze + soda stuff is great for getting an idea of what you like.
Drinking water after drinking just before i go to sleep also seems to help me stay hangover-free. Straight liquor is probably the least fattening just because of the fact that you wont drink as much of it before you stop unlike beer. http://www.webtender.com/ |

I assume you want to get drunk, so:
Straight liquor won't taste great though, so you'll have to mix it with something (could be anything, even a protein shake or just water) to make it taste better. Don't forget to drink water, especially before you go to bed. I'm talking about standing by the sink for a full 5 minutes or something and just gulp down as much as you can. |

...and not a sip of alcohol yet. How sad is that?! So then...I'm new to all of this...what are the best alcholic beverages that aren't so fattening? [/ QUOTE ] Well, happy b-day to the man of Whey! You are no longer a boy, but a man in the eyes of the law. Now, don't piss me off dude. I'm just about the same age as you are, yet i haven't been drunk in my life. That does not make us pathetic, and if someone wants to make fun of you for not wanting to drink you just let me know and I'll be sure to administer a full dose of scorn and derision. If you're curious about the taste of alcohol, I would say try a sip of a drink to see if you like the taste. I like frangelicos (though I don't know if they have a lot of calories). The last I had one was last Xmas. I drink very rarely and when I do I always stop at 1 or 2 drinks. So I've never been drunk or even tipsy for that matter. I am not embarrassed to admit I've never been drunk and I don't care much for dumb-sheep (otherwise known as "peer") pressure. I've seen enough of alcohol-induced stupidity to know I don't need to experience it. I'd rather be sober and fully cognizant of my actions than inebriated with lost inhibitions. Just remember some of the stories you've heard on this website by other members (i.e. licking balls for beer, and the more common one-night stands that may lead to unwanted pregnancies, STDs, and self-esteem issues). Or, of course, in your case, your OCD may prevent you from drinking so as to not ingest any "unwanted" calories, whcih works just as well.... So what did you do to celebrate your milestone b-day? |
