i thought pregnant women weren't supposed to eat fish cuz of the fats?

Pregnant women shouldn't eat certain fish because of the mercury levels. Tuna is a prime example. Most white fish, i.e. flounder and talapia, is fine.

That is, at least for the fetus within a pregnant female. The link to fat is that many of the substances are lipophilic, so they stay in fats.
