No more Gym Membership
It's official....I no longer have to get a gym membership. I finally got the final piece of the puzzle.....an elliptical machine! I now have a Cage system for Weight training, a heavy bag, a speed bag, and will get my elliptical in about a week. Now I have absolutely no excuse to get in shape!!!

If you are anything like me, home gym just wont cut it. First of all I need the motivation to get up and go to gym otherwise I wont work out, second of all I need the gym atmosphere, my gym is a bit rough on the edges so it gives it that real gym feel rather than a 'fitness center' and third of all I need a constant increase in iron. I simply cannot afford that much iron a year (it's really expensive here) so I rather use the money and hit the gym with an unlimited iron [img]/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
Although, you seem to have your head on straight. I wish you all the best.

I wish you all the best. [/ QUOTE ] I don't really care for the gym atmosphere all that much. I always get bothered by people trying to show of the weight they can handle and yet have terrible form. I also have a busy schedule so if I have everything at home, I can do cardio in the morning and weight training in the evening. I also wanted to get my wife to exercise but she doesn't like the gym. All I have to say, is that home gym=pwnage.
This is especially true because I don't of a single gym, besides a few specific ones all over the country that have strongman equipment like mine

Normally it should probably cost around 3k.(I think) Now since I'm only 16, and if I use them for the rest of my life, I should save a ton of money. For example, like I said I got all my stuff for close to $1000 total. The closest gym to me is Lifetime Fitness. Its $250 down and I think around $60 base per month* after about 1 year thats the cost of all my equipment. *Not 100% sure on the costs, but I'm pretty sure thats close based on what friends have told me

The convenience you get from a home gym can't really be measured by money, unless your gym is in your building or within a short walking distance.

My membership is about to be up to but the good thing is I can grunt all I want spit and workout in my boxers if the mood strikes me. It's in the garage so I'll have to deal with the summer heat but that is the only real downside of the equation.

[img]/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] That's what I did! I just finished up my freshman year in college, and during a group interview there, there was a guy about your age there.
