well i bought a big bag of sunflower seeds today and i was chewing on em all day and i realized i'm not hungry for a real meal. sunflower seeds aren't too high in calories(depends on which kind u get) and doesn't seem to be bad nutrient wise. they also take a really long time to eat and you are consuming a smaller density of food over a long period of time. i was wondering if anyone tried a sunflower seed diet lol. i got the david's brand: jalapeno hot salsa flavor. its been over 3 hours and i've been eating sunflower seeds while multitasking and the bag is still half full. if i kept up at this pace, it's about 200calories over 3hours. i dunno if it's the same for other people but this is pretty filling with a lot of water. any thoughts?

too much fat in my opinion.
plus i own some pet birds and am advised not to give them too much sunflower seeds (only occationally as a treat) because of the fat content which makes them fat and have a higher risk of heart disease. my birds love them though. it's like mcdonalds to them. lol. same applies to hamsters. so i wouldn't advice a sunflower seeds diet. maybe occationally but i don't think 3 hrs with only sunflower seeds is beneficial. |

Looks like an unhealthy diet geared towards muscle loss to me.

Too many calories from fat, and I know that they have a lot of sodium too.
