Hmm, I'm not that great at making my ideas concise nor saying what I am thinking, but I will give this my best shot.
Well, for LA we have to write a paper on the Shakespeare play, Merchant of Venice. For all of you that have not read it or have forgotten it, it is a play where a bunch of Christians need some money and go to a Jew to ask to borrow money. Jews of the time were pretty much treated like dirt, but the Jew (Shylock) agrees to lend money free of interest (interest I guess is un-Christian) as long as if the money is not returned, he gets a lbs. of the Christian's flesh. Well, of course, he can't pay back the money, and Shylock wants justice for all the bad things that the Christians have done to his people, but in the end ends up getting scammed by the system. After reading a loose translation of the NT, a big message I got was don't judge/hold grudges in this life, be kind to everyone, and let God be the judge of everyone at the end of this life. Anyways, I was just wondering if there is any passages in the Bible/what are the passages in the Bible that advocate/justify Anti-Semitism? Links or anything would be great. So far all that I have gotten is Thessalonians 2:14-15. In Christ, Nic

Any part that condones ritual sacrifice of living beings, whether animals or human, but I think it is a good thing to have a heart. After all, they were just trying to be the best they could, in their way.

Jesus was a Semite, a Jew. The Old Testament IS the Jewish Testament. In fact, since Jesus is God and always existed, His voice resounds even before His birth, in the Old Testament. In fact, the Psalms can be read as the voice of Jesus.
Jesus' last words [Mark 15:34]on the cross were, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" which are from also Psalm 22, the words/prayer of King David. Jesus words sound like a cry of dispare, which would seem odd coming from the God-Man. In actuality, if you were a Jew reading these words or a Jew present to hear Jesus' words, you would immediately know that Jesus was actaully claiming VICTORY over death! A Jew would have known that Psalm 22 continues with a great evocation of trust in God and in God's deliverance from the trial at hand:"Yes, to Him shall all the proud of the earth fall down; before Him all who go down to the dust shall throw themselves down" This Psalm is one of a number of Psalms called 'Toda's. Toda's all have in common a prayer, a cry, a plea for deliverance from death, or from illness, from suffering, betrayal. They celebrate and anticipate God's faithful deliverance. Jesus was a Jew born of Jewish parents. His Apostles were Jews. However, some people have said that because Jews were the people that took Jesus' life, that Jews must be bad. The reality is that Jesus died for us all, and all of our sins were responsible for His death. Only by gross misinterpretation would someone find anti-semitism in the Bible. I hope this is helpful.
