Hi Guys having 3 months off lifting , i have gone back to the gym and for my 1st week back i knew not to go all out and instead do a nice and light program untill i get back into the swing of things.
Well the guy i was training with was in the same boat and suggested we do a bit of everything so we did bench press pull downs dumbell curls cable cross overs shoulder press etc but altho i took it light i knew i had worked out ! the next day i was sore as hell in my chest biceps triceps and shoulders , but my mate said to still go to the gym and work out again and the stretching will make us feel a bit better. Well it didnt !!! i`m now as sore as ever i can hardley lift up my arms ! My diet is okish atm and i`m doing my very best to eat the best carbs and protien to help with recovery and also i`m taking a protein shake and ZMA on a night is there anything else at all i can do to recover this soreness any quicker ? Thanks Guys

Never ever train if you are still sore. Period.

stretch A LOT..get at least 8 hours of sleep..if you can take short naps during the day..also, if you want you can take glutamine to help with the soreness..finally, it could just be that you didnt train in a while and just getting back in there is "new" for your body..

**update*** i know feel sore then ever !!!

I wouldn't do all that in one day. Break it up, then you'll be sore in certain areas and can still workout the other areas while the previously sore muscle group is recovering. Don't try to do a full body workout in one day many times per week.
