Default Buffalo patties...

3 g fat, 1 sat, 33 protein...ingredient: Bison.

Best. Protein. Source. EVAR! Tastes so good, and the burgers are actually thin, the way I like them! While at college, whey and buffalo patties have been my two main protein sources 90% of the time (other than decent amounts I get in whole wheat pasta and the like). I usually grill them up all at the same time, then put them in a container for easy microwaving later on. Then I either eat them by themselves, or with whole wheat bread. I also love dipping them in splenda ketchup.

Most burgers I find always have other junk added or more fat than I would like, but these buffalo patties are perfect. Be careful though, some buffalo brands of 5 g sat fat per burger. The brand I get is actually the first buffalo brand I've seen with such little sat fat.

Also check out Ostrich patties/steaks. Amazing protein content, low fat.

Just wondering what brand you buy? Also, do you buy them from a specialty type grocery store?

Hi,

great find! I want to try this now. Do you mind telling where you buy your patties for and how much?

I found this website googling: http://www.elkusa.com/buffalo_meat.h...FQSjYgodsV8HLw

it has some pretty decent prices on buffalo meat in general, but the patties are 92% fat free which is actually quite fatty. They are selling for between $4.80-5.00 lb

I really wish there were such things as wild buffalo outside of the ones on Catalina island. So sad.

As someone living in canada, where could I purchase these? I love burgers and this would be ideal for me.

Buffalo have made a pretty big comeback in parts of the midwest, so much so that they've been a nuisance, semi-dangerous to tourists too.

They are pretty nummy though...
