Default The Pope

Im not Catholic or anything, but I see no reason that any other man cannot study the bible and be just as important and know the same things as the Pope.

In many arguements people claim christianity is bad because of the wars that have been fought over it. Well they seem to think somehow that the pope is infalible.

I think not, he is simply a man chosen by falible men, though his heart is most likely in the right place just like any Christians is, I don't bealive that he is any better in Gods eyes than anyone else.

Am I in the wrong here or are these valid assumptions?

Im pretty sure the Bible doesnt express the need of a Pope. Can't we all study the word of God and not have someone tell us how to run our lives(even if he has good intentions).

I mean I saw a article the other day talking about the new pope blessing a bunch of Firrares. Which in my opinion is kind of silly thing for him to be doing.

But I still support Catholics and such just don't see much need for a Pope.

What do yall think about this?

I think I understand somewhat of human nature and I tell you all these were men, and I am a man, but not one is like Him; Jesus Christ was more than man. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and myself founded great empires; but upon what did the creations of our genius depend? Upon force. Jesus alone founded His empire upon love, and to this very day millions would die for Him. -Napolean Bonaparte

Jordan you are right, the Bbile says that it is of no one mans' interpretation. The prophets were even inspired by god not their own choosing for the wording. So the Pope or nobody else is any better or less in Gods eyes. God has no respect of persons!
