Default PM meal ?

now I do things a little different.

I hear a lot about how whey is fast burning and casein is slow, but what about all the foods? how do they compare?

anyway my PM meal is always just salad and a steak or chicken breast. how bout that ?

Try broccoli instead of salad for a PM meal since I am assuming you are having iceberg lettuce which isn't really that good.

Other than that, steak is very slow and chicken is slow as well. You are good with those.

If I can remember correctly, caesin is superior compared to other proteins for two major reasons.

1. It is hydrophobic and clumps up in your stomach. When it clumps, it reduces surface are and therefore gets digested slower.

2. It contains an opiod-like peptide that slows gastric emptying. So not only does it digest slower, but it enters the intestine at a slower rate as well.
