Hey guys.
I recently dropped around 30 kilos in pure fat after an extensive workout rountine which I did over a period of about a year and a half - in other words I dropped 30 kilos at an appropriate rate. However, I have always had very supple skin. Even in places such as my wrists my skin in thin and is very easy to 'pinch' - even though there is no fat there at all. Anyway, my main problem is loose skin. I can basically grab both my obliques and have a handfull of skin in them on either side at the same time. As you could imagine this concerns me very much. I have been this weight for about 10 months now and I am on a muscle building phase (which is going great, my arms' 'flabby' areas are filled out with muscle) But places like my glutes abs, obliques - where muscle isnt that large, i still have a ****load of excess skin. Is there any training routine, diet, vitamin which I can greatly tone my skin? (vitamin e tablets?) I am not going to consider surgery, I am 21 years old and I am certain my skin still has ample elasticity to recover on its own with the appropriate 'natural' measures. I was thinking something else. Tanning thickens the skin from melonin release etc. Would tanning thicken my skin and hence cause it to 'shrink'? Yes I am very white due to lack of sun on my stomach chest etc. Sucks to feel the 6 pack under my skin and then have all the flabby skin ontop of it making it un-visible. Thanks guys. I know alot about bodybuilding (i have a major in exercise physiology) but I really don't know a thing about how skin reacts to different training etc. |

first, GREAT JOB!!
I know it's common to have excess skin after some losing lots of fat. It takes time, but that should shrink up. Not sure what you can do though to get it to shrink up faster. my skin is like that too, but somewhat different, I can make a caliper reading show that I have no body fat, as my skin seperates completely from the subcutaneous fat. it's really weird. you might look into some supplements that support healthy skin, I also understand supporting the thyroid helps too. good luck
