Columbine in Canada
At least that's what it's being compared to.
Some guy described as a "goth" in a long black trenchcoat carrying a semi-automatic started shooting at Dawson College. Until now there are 2 dead, 8 critically injured and others injured less critically. The gunman was shot and killed by police. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/st...?hub=TopStories I live a few minutes away, what a sad day it is. My prayers are out to the victims and families. However, this is not the first time in Montreal's history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/École_P...nique_Massacre in which 14 died and in 1993 at Concordia where 4 professors were shot dead by Valerie Fabrikant.

Yes and don't forget the FLQ incidents back in the 70s as well.

This same school had a incident in 1989 too, in which some nut job shot 4 women and blamed femenism.

yes...i live in Colorado sort of near columbine. I don't know about the schools near you guys, but now, all public schools (columbine is a high school) need to have lockdown drills in case it happens again. Also, some of the schools near columbine now have metal detectors that you need to go through before you can enter the school

Here in Cali we have lock down drills. We once had some drunk (!@#$%^&*) bring a bee bee gun to shoot some russian girls, we had a lock down.

I just heard on the news that 2 died in hospital and there are 8 critical. The story is changing rapidly and we won't know the extent until tomorrow. We still don't know the identity of the gunman.
