Hey, today after I got out of the gym, my legs were shaking. I have had this with my arms before too when ive had a really good workout.
It actually feels really good, as if I left the gym at the perfect time, and I got just the right amount of exercise without overtraining. I am 19, 6', 154 lbs. Here is what I did. Deadlifts, 200 lbs, 3 sets of 8, the last set I squeezed out an extra rep. Leg press, 300 lbs at 12 reps, 350 at 8 reps, 400 at 10 reps. At the last one I somehow managed to squeeze out more with mind force. I also made sure to bring the knees all the way down right to the chest. After this, I gave both of my quads a good pump and flex. Seated calf raises, 310, 3 sets of 10 . And I decided to leave the gym after the heavy training for optimum growth and repair. im just about done my isolate shake right now. Oh and BTW, an hour before the gym I ate beans and quinoa, then 30 mins before I took BCAAs and thats it. Why do you think I got these excellent shakiness in my legs? They feel really good right now!lol. |

I assume it is because of the depletion of something. I don't know that it is bad though, I get it all the time. I would like to know what to eat to avoid this though.

I may not always get the DOMS to tell me that I crushed it, but when I get the hippy hippy shakes, man, I know I did it a good one. It's a good thing bro.

I always take it as my body admitting that I beat it and it doesnt want anymore.....
Problem is, I throw more protein, and more amino acids into my body and it rebuilds itself, and do it all over again the next day. If I dont have trouble walking home from the gym, or feel a Dom, I get depressed like I wasted my time or didnt get a good enough workout. Those days that I am shaking, after I went to complete failure is the days that I have the biggest smile on my face.... |

the shakes are caused by the fact youve gone from weighted repetative movements to 0 and the cns goes into like shock

Haha, I looked disabled walking out of the gym tonight. My legs wouldn't do what I was telling them to do. I got really really shaky walking up the steps in my house.

I get that too, except i have to ride my motorbike home after a workout... man, when i did triceps last i nearly dropped the bike on every corner because my arms just wouldn't support the handlebars.
To me when i get those shakes, it feels as if i didn't eat enough before my workout... though i'm sure it'd happen no matter what i ate. But it just feels like i've starved my muscles. |

I'm pretty shure that it is from a lack of something, I would like to find out what.
I used to play on a team where we would practice for whole days. I would get serious shakes from that. The only other time I seem to really get them is after a crazy leg workout. So this is sorta a BUMP.

[/ QUOTE ] lol. I had plenty to eat at the right time before the gym, and it felt like they repaired more quickly than usual, cause I didnt work out for too long. Ive noticed the most gains are made when you know when to leave the gym. I bet you 60% of people that go to the gym overtrain. Anyways, my mind and my body tell this shaking is a good thing, because it feels like all the nerves are signalling endorphins and growth hormones to be released. Im going to research the science behind the shaking right now. As others have said, it puts a smile on my face, and is a true natural high. |
