Default Weighted Leg Over Description

I was looking at this particular workout program and I tried these Weighted Leg Over Description today. I felt them more in my outer part of my thigh than in my abs. Maybe I'm not doing them right. In football we called the position windmills but never did abs with them. Help?

I don't know what a windmill looks like though so I can't tell you for shure.

It is possible that you are doing the Weighted leg over wrong. This isn't a leg lift. Do you keep your shoulders touching the ground all the time or are you laying on your side? Your torso must do the work.

I don't know if this is one of the best ab exercises though, I rarely feel any work being done by the abdominals in any abdominal exercise.
